New Women's Health Clinic with Dr Jess Tucker

From April we are proud to introduce a regular Women’s Health clinic run by Dr Jess Tucker.  Referrals can be made by your GP or please enquire with reception.  A list of procedures and prices can be found under the fees section of our website.  Here is an introduction from Jess;

I’m Dr. Jess Tucker, a specialist in sexual and reproductive health, with a passion for empowering women to take control of their health and make informed choices. I trained in the UK before moving to New Zealand in 2010 to work at Christchurch Women's Hospital. I quickly fell in love with the country and decided to make it my home. Since 2012, I've worked at Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa (formerly Family Planning), specializing in sexual and reproductive healthcare. I hold a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and am a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Sexual and Reproductive Health. I am a member of ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health) and ISSM (International Society for Sexual Medicine).

I also have over 12 years of experience in sexual assault medicine, and therefore have a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding sexual health and function. I believe that nothing should be awkward when it comes to discussing health. My approach is always compassionate, and I strive to make my patients feel at ease. I value the importance of taking the time to truly understand each patient's concerns and ensure they feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey. I enjoy building a collaborative relationship with my patients, working together to ensure their needs are met with the highest level of care and understanding.
